From the Medicine Chest
More sorting for my brother and I today at the house of our late Stepmother.
He was a hero and tackled the loft. I almost cleared one of the bedrooms and made a start on the kitchen.
Today’s highlights include A sachet of Butterscotch Delight, that one mixes with milk and seems to consist almost entirely of chemicals, a sachet of ‘Smash’ instant potato from 1992, and a sachet of ‘Surprise’ dehydrated garden peas that predate the ‘sell-by date’ system. Also some Green Shield stamps.
However top prize goes to the collection of medications from the first aid kit we found in the back of the understairs cupboard. Almost museum pieces, as you can see.
