Classic Trumpet Gentian …

… on the high ridge Julie Anne and I followed today to the Point de Martinets 2653m (extra showing the view back to Lake Geneva). The flowers are spectacular this year after all the rain and so few people are on the hill. We saw only 7 people and 1 dog today! This walk is very exposed in places (a few extras to illustrate this) but we both love that so had a great time and a yummy fruit pie when we got to the La Torche hut. 

As we reached the car the heavens opened and we were able to « rescue » a Czech family who had come down to the wrong valley to collect their car! 

An early night tonight, after a long day.
