Cornflowers
The Feast Day of Saint Arsenius.
It is beautifully sunny and 22.7c. It's what we hope July weather will be like. This is my top favourite temperature. I find anything much more too hot.
I went for an early morning walk to buy the Daily Mail and Accrington Observer. The front page of the later carries the sad story of Jay Slater.
I came home and poor Hunter was not well. He had regurgitated his cat food and was sitting under a square glass topped table in the corner of the conservatory. I cleaned up after him and spoke kind words to him. We have a stain removal spray that works brilliantly to refresh the carpet.
Then I filled up the food for the garden birds and Holly followed me into the garden. She loves to sit under the pink Hydrangea. There are several starlings, pigeons, sparrows and a family of magpies who visit and feed regularly and the cats are enthralled by them. The collared doves tend to arrive in the afternoon.
Paul is sitting in the garden reading the papers.
Hunter has perked up and has been outside.
It will be a homely day with salad and ice cream.
Enjoy your Friday.
Thank you for visiting my site blip friends.
By 4:30pm the temperature had zoomed up gradually to 28c in the front room and 98f in the conservatory. Our hottest day this year.
Hunter slept all afternoon, but is sitting outside now, in a cool corner of the garden. It's 27.8c but there is a breeze.
