Our first & his last

We had our first church service, with mainly just us as the planting team, and it was great. Really special and full of joy.

Having our very own maestro on the keyboards certainly helped the singing.

And lunch after - still obv learning the logistics of it all.

And then our family rushed away after quickly popping in to see and sort the dogs.

It was my brother’s last day as Senior Pastor of Dundonald, a church in Raynes Park. He’s been there for 29 years and when it started, it was a very small group meeting in a primary school and sitting on little chairs!!

They had had leaving services all day, so it was particularly poignant to be at the very last one, with LongLegs and IrishLass and NoaNoa, as that was their normal service anyway. It was emotional and joyous. He preached too, and hearing him was pretty joyous too. Catching up with most of his kids and some old friends around all whilst watching England not quite meet the hopes of our nation … so it was quite epic.

Was kind of nice watching the game on a big screen with a couple of hundred others although keeping attention on everything was mental gymnastics.
