Unexpected trip

Saturday 13 July
We have come away for a last minute unexpected short trip to Asheville North Carolina. It was supposed to be Jen and Jason’s trip celebrating Jens birthday on Monday. They had booked a small AirBnb for three nights and booked tickets for Biltmore and their Chihuly exhibit on Monday. Unfortunately, Jen has been ill all week - with walking pneumonia. She texted us earlier in the week asking if she wasn’t able to go, were we interested, as the Airbnb was non-refundable. We said yes, but obviously hoped she would feel well enough to go by this morning. She has been on antibiotics, and last night told us she was feeling a bit better, but still hoarse and very fatigued, so she thought it best that we went.
We had a good drive down, stopping to charge the Tesla in Tennesee, and had lunch at a nearby burger place while it was charging, finally arriving at the accommodation about 4.30. The host came out to greet us - the Airbnb is a converted garage attached to his house. It’s quite small, but well appointed, and fine for three nights. We made ourselves a cup of tea, then drove into the centre of Asheville and went for a walk beside the river, but it was hot and humid, so we didn’t go far. Having had quite a filling lunch, we didn’t want too much for dinner, so we went to a casual taco place overlooking the river, White Duck Tacos, which proved to be very popular, so we were waiting quite a while to place our order, but once we finally got it, was very good. I thought their duck painted on the inside wall would work well for Silly Saturday
