Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

The eyes have it!

Today I managed a couple of things I've been prevaricating over which was a relief.
I headed across to Dobbies in Dunfermline - it may seem strange but it takes me less time to get there than to either the one at Livingston or Dalkeith.
I wanted a pair of trousers from Cotton Traders who have a shop there and the good news was they were half price in their sale.
Back home I stewed some gooseberries intending to make a fool then realised I'd no cream - or even custard which will do at a pinch.
I drove down to Waitrose and arrived just as they were reducing the meat on the butchery counter. I made the most of the bargains at 75% off to pop into the freezer.
After dinner I met with the other church warden to discuss the meeting we are having with the Bishop on Monday regarding our forthcoming vacancy for a rector.
I saw Bonnie briefly, she was having great fun with these stickle bricks! They started life belonging to her auntie and have been appreciated for many years.
