Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

A sunny day! All day!! So nice. The boys and I sat out in the sunshine in the morning. (This is Pip in the blip -Archie only sticks one foot out). Once JR had had her breakfast, we all went out for a walk, We came round by the ice cream shop, so warm was it, but no - still closed. So I’ve noted their open days for future reference. Just as well I have a stash of Magnums at home.

Pip’s mum had a work day, but arrived to pick him up about 2pm, so he’s gone home, and I quite miss him. He’s very cuddly, and always wants to sit with a human. Unlike you-know-who. Actually, that’s not fair. Archie has always been quite cuddly, but in the last few months, his constant licking, leading up to his operation, his cone wearing and then his allergies and his general all-round discomfort he has preferred to doze on his own so that he can leap up and scritch at any moment.

JR and Archie went out for an afternoon walk, and sent me a photo (Extra). This is becoming a habit…

I was delighted when I found out that the Women’s T20 game was live on BBC tonight. England won, as expected, but the Kiwis played well, considering the lack of professional women cricketers in NZ. I like the cricket commentaries - they’re usually quite informative. I love the visuals when they’re determining if it’s OUT.

Hazel’s back home!
