Two Buckets

No25 Northiam leaves Rolvenden with this afternoon’s train to Bodiam while a JCB waits to cross the line to the yard.

No25 is a saddle tank affectionately(?) known as a Bucket. No idea why. And of course the JCB has a bucket!

Another very enjoyable day in Rolvenden signalbox on a learning turn. I was put through my paces by a former assistant signalling inspector as we tried out various situations. The day ended with two shunt moves one of which as new to me.

Thank you for your comments about my good fortune with trousers and other garments. It feels good to have new stuff that fits.
