The accidental finding

Thai for two

We went to the Crown and Sceptre for the guest chef's Thai meal. We've not had Thai there before. Unfortunately we didn't think much of it::there were no vegetables in the sauce, just chicken or tofu.  However, it was a golden evening. The children playing with  balloons in the pub garden were called Jasoer, Caspian, Rafi and Ismay. To think the people used to laugh when I told them I had a cousin called Jasper! A few years ago you couldn't move in nursery for all the girls called Evie, Eva,  Ava, Tilly, and  Lily. It's fortunate I didnt have kids because I'd have called them Bill, Bob, and Sophie. (Or maybe Sofa, because it's more.... unique).

I went to work in the cupboard. I stayed because there was a webinar, and caught a bus to a community centre afterwards to meet a client. Just missed the bus back so walked s very long way round back to Stroud. It was hot, and my feet hurt because at that surgery we have a no-,trainers rule and my work shoes rubbed. The library closes at 5, so I waited by the bus stop and watched flying ants crawling on the pavement, and packets of popcorn as big as cushions being wheeled into the cinema on a sack truck. Why would anyone use such a heavy truck for such a light material? It's like loading a truck with lettuce leaves.

Got the bus home and changed out of my work shoes. One more day at the grindstone this week.
