A walk in the Shire

I picked up BJ in Hexham and then we drove on to the Shire (that's Hexhamshire) to the Kings Law plantation. There are not many trees there, but  a large layby where we all parked.

Dean and Joan took us on a delightful wander on the moors in the sunshine. It was a gorgeous day and we could see for miles.

In one field, the sheep fled but two horses came over to chat. You can see the tailenders of the walkers in the distance.

It's an area I have rarely walked in and I enjoyed the wide open spaces.  

Margret is home from her few days away, but has brought a cold. I went to see her, retreated and we will talk on the 'phone later.
