Pick n’ mix

I picked up two huge snails that had made their way onto the wooden veranda and had been happily eating some of my bean seedlings. They were gently launched onto the lawn below where they may make their way into the raised beds or even the polytunnel if they make the effort.

I was just about to lob this large brown moss ball after them but as I reached down I saw it was looking back at me! Glad I didn’t pick it up, much lively screaming would have ensued! I realise now those two big snails that were sat next to the toad may have been its intended meal.
