Powerless

Deep apologies (metaphor intended) for the delay in thanking my dear blip mates for the very kind words, stars, and hearts on my blip milestone.  I had only just begun to thank individuals on Monday evening when a cracker of a storm blew through.

This photo shows the storm that knocked out our power for a day and a half.*  We also had no water because the home we are renting is on a well. Water had to be carried in buckets from the lake up a steep, steep hill to the house where we used it to flush the toilet!

* We are fortunate because thousands of homes all around the Finger Lakes remain powerless. And, of course, the tornadoes have made life much worse for many.
