Crocosmia "Lucifer"

A dry day, nothing like the sort of day you expect in July, over cast and just and so "shirtsleeve weather".  In July you really shouldn't be having to consider if on the first dry day for a while whether or not it is sensible to hang out washing or if you will have to rush to get it in when it rains.

We have some Lucifer that Kat wanted out of her garden and it is just coming into flower.  The contrast between the bright red flowers and the green of the leaves always attracts me.  Crocosmia is classed as an invasive plant, however Lucifer doesn't seem to grow the clump any where near as fast as the basic ordinary Crocosmia.
