Morning Glory

The day started dry and almost bright but by mid-morning drops of the promised rain began to fall.  Slowly at first, Meg and I out walking the lanes, never too far from the car in case of a deluge.  Later it rained in earnest.  The hedgerows are luxuriant, everything growing bigger and better thanks to the cool, wet summer.  We want some sunshine in August and September to ripen the fruits though.  Fingers crossed.

After the walk we picked up Bella as Jamie was off to a hospital appointment in Liverpool.  Actually we picked up two Bellas as Jamie's support worker is caring for her daughter's dog, another, much more elderly Bella.  Ruth and I enjoyed a quiet afternoon at home.  I got lots of admin done including calling homecare agencies in London which went well.   Then we spent an hour or so tipping out my pots of South African bulbs.  A good harvest, I will have many spares to share.

After tea a long video chat with my siblings to continue our push to work out how best to support our mum in her own home.   Real progress towards solutions that we can offer to mum soon :-)
