In the pink

Spent the day at our daughter's, where I played with the young master, and Mr PP cut the grass. Daughter was busy painting walls upstairs.  I opted for shorts as we woke to warm sunshine. Happily, it stayed warm even though the weather turned to rain - fortunately after the lawn was mowed.

This delicate pink fuchsia I have blipped before. It came from a cutting I took from our Devon garden and has flourished wonderfully in our daughter's garden. It's now grown really quite big. Perhaps in the autumn I might try taking further cuttings.

Didn't see much of little Miss B as just before Mrs B went to fetch her from school, a migraine aura hit me. So I took a tablet and went for a lie down in a darkened room. Two hours later I woke up! Headache much diminished though not gone altogether. (Perhaps it was the aftermath of watching the footie. The last final I watched was 1966. This was far more stressful. Three excellent goals, but, especially in the first half, I couldn't help thinking that the Spanish team were confusing football with wrestling. Is that what games are like these days?)

Other news: forgot to mention in my journal a couple of days ago, we woke to find three black feral kittens in residence in our greenhouse (that has missing panes). By the time I was dressed and visited later, they'd gone. I left a bowl of water in case they returned, but I've not seen sight nor sound of them since.

My smart phone has given up the ghost so for now I'm confined to my lap top. It's quite heavy on my knee so my comments may be even scarcer than usual for a while, until I've found a replacement.
