a lifetime burning

Rainy bird day

We're due some very wet weather over the next few days - a contrast to the lovely conditions that we enjoyed during Jess's wedding at the weekend. To be honest, we're all very grateful that it stayed dry for the wedding so a few days of wet weather now are neither here nor there really.

I had to go to Bristol first thing,  so took the motorbike to better navigate Bristol's rush hour traffic and its car and parking restrictions.  I managed to get back having only got slightly wet as it was only raining lightly at that stage.

It's not great photography weather but here is a juvenile dunnock from the garden, in the rain.  You can see that its mouth parts are still quite coral pink (no doubt a feeding trigger for Mum and Dad)  - as it matures they fade to a more orangey brown. (I've not enhanced any of the colours here, just in case you were wondering).
