Playing with zone focusing!

Today I decided to experiment with zone focusing, essentially turning my rangefinder camera into a point and shoot camera.  In preparing my camera I set the lens to f-stop f11 and set infinity of the depth of scale reading on the lens also to f11.  Therefore everything in the zone range from five and a half feet to infinity should be in focus.

I had to visit Newtownards, a nearby market town, and took the opportunity to visit the town square and surrounding area.  Here I took a range of images from which this one is selected, taken in Meeting House Lane, just a short distance from the town square.

This was a worthwhile experiment, I will continue to use zone focusing to see if I can improve my results.  To see more images from today go to: https://lfi-online.de/en/gallery/my-gallery.html

and click on the street photography folder, I uploaded nine images all in colour for a change!
