St Bernard's Well

I only noticed the other day that the scaffolding and plastic sheeting that's been hiding St Bernard's Well from view for months had been removed. So here's the newly renovated (temple) well, adorned with its gleaming, golden pineapple and with Hygieia looking all the better after a good scrub up. I wonder if her mineral water ever did the 18th century gentry any good or if it was just an early tourist scam by the town's honest burghers?

It's been a grand day again, pity I was indoors for most of it! But will be strolling along to the pub soon with just a jumper in hand; you can never discount that North Sea haar.
