Clouds above the valley

Today has been brighter and a little warmer (though I still didn't see any butterflies), and at lunchtime, through our window, we saw these striking bands of cloud above the valley. I photographed them quickly from just outside the door and have tried to look them up. The most likely identification seems to be Altocumulus Undulatus, but I've found multiple possible results so am not at all sure.

It's been another quiet day, but a pleasant one. P made buckwheat pancakes for breakfast, and I spent a bit of time sewing my top before lunch. It's decades since I made a neck binding, so I was pleased to accomplish this one neatly with only one little wobble in my edge stitching. I'm trying to work on this project one small step at a time, using any twenty minutes or half hour I can, as waiting till I can spend several hours sewing is a recipe for never finishing anything. It's a great help that I have a place where I can leave my sewing machine out and everything ready. After lunch I took J for a rather brisk walk/wheel around the village, replicating much of my route from Friday, and was encouraged that I managed it better, without Friday's subsequent aches. I hope I'll manage to walk further and more often in the coming week - I've missed my solitary footpath walks, both physically and emotionally.
