Meadow Brown ... I think

More insect activity on the heath. Mainly Meadow browns & the occasional skipper. Yesterday the Merlinap identified a Yellowhammer, Goldfinch, Common Chiffchaff & Wren on the heath today a Siskin & Bullfinch, both of which I could hear quite distinctly but finding them in a densely leafed oak tree was impossible. Hearing them was a joy.

Mum & I made some headway with the latest jigsaw puzzle after which we headed to Chudleigh for lunch with hubby and the Ladies Singles final from Wimbledon.  Dropped Mum home, made her meal & sat for a chat while she ate. Back to Chudleigh picked hubby up from the pub then home. Made dinner, ham & sweetcorn chowder,  then watched the Mens doubles final from Wimbledon. Very entertaining.

Thank you so much for all your comments  on yesterdays Blip anniversary. Can't believe it was my 2000th. Recording a blip everyday is definately a distraction from everything else that is happening in my life, one that I enjoy, and am determined to find time for although sometimes a little delay before posting. I love looking through your blip journals, comparing landscapes etc. and consider myself very fortunate to live where I do, enjoying my surroundings & sharing my neck of the woods with you all. Thank you & happy blipping. x
