Eilean Donnan Castle

The ancestral home of the Clan McRae, to which I belong. My grandmother lived in a croft in Inverinate, and my dad's cousin's children still live here....so really, this is my Castle!

We visited today, I didn't expect to tingle, but I did. I felt quite emotional. It was rather lovely.

Later, we visited Attadale gardens, then Plockton Inn (with palm trees) for lunch. Just as we were leaving Plockton, we noticed a new gin & whisky distillery.... oh my, we enjoyed that, and they must have clapped their hands after we left laiden with bottles and lighter pockets.

At every turn here there is a new view to photograph, it is very beautiful.
