Kyle of Lochalsh

Driving by at 1030am, headed for Skye. We've been on the road since 6am and found nothing open so far.

We are staying on the Sleet Peninsula at Julie's new home, which is absolutely beautiful. We are here to celebrate Rhona's birthday,

We headed to the new Torabhaig distillery for lunch, but as is the way on Skye, they decided not to serve lunches today. No worries, home we headed and made something there. The fizz popped, and the chat never stopped. We were still sitting at the lunch table at 9.30pm, having barely drawn breath.

Sitting here watching the boats go in and out, with the odd deer in the garden and looking out for the brown eagle, which I'm promised, will settle on the tree just out the back. I can't think of a better way to spend a Thursday.

I should add that Kyle is my family home, my grandmother was from here. We are from the clan McCrae, and Eilean Donnan castle is ours.
