Swallows and Meadow Browns

This morning we went for a walk at Mugdock Country Park. I saw one Ringlet butterfly, then another, and another. Having counted up to 20, I gave up, there are lots, which is very good news. I have seen no butterflies in my garden since the beginning of Spring but thankfully some seem to be thriving (one in extra).
** the butterfly in the extra is a Meadow Brown and not a Ringlet as I originally blipped. Thanks to Diane2104 for her advice. I think we probably saw both species as I thought some were darker than others but I’m not sure, happy to see that some species of butterflies are there!**

At this time of the year there are normally loads of swallows too, I don’t think there are as many this year but there are some and I was pleased to get a shot of one resting on a gate.
