Breathe it in

The sun had long since dipped behind the hills by the time my daughter and I squeezed in a walk before dinner. It's always peaceful alongside the river; we looked at goose tracks in the mud, a shy dabchick, small flocks of cormorants heading off to roost for the night. A dose of fresh air in the lungs lifts the spirits!
