JASDIP.....Hoar Frost, Day 4
Want to know what JASDIP is....?
Spent the day primarily at the Old Iron Bridge area.......stunning, stunning, stunning. Bumped into Brett Woods again......check out his video....he sums up this whole hoar frost thing pretty well I think.
Very cold day but it's only uncomfortable until you're numb enough not to feel it haha! Having the van nearby helped though.......duck in for a warm-up and a cuppa then head back out for another hour or so. By the time I decided to call it a day the fog had once again rolled in so chances of another day of frosty photos tomorrow are high. I think I'm at a stage where I want to see this through to the end; ideally I'd like that 'end' to have blue skies so my hoar frost series can ends with colour but I'm afraid it may end in rain. Still, I'll be up and out again tomorrow after the football (go England!) and what will be will be. I'm feeling so very fortunate to have finally caught one......an epic one at that.
I didn't drive very far at all today and the house batteries are rather low so I've decided to stop at the campground tonight. Nice to have a few home comforts, though water is still frozen and I'm living off bottled water. Life could be a whole heap worse though.......the news tonight left me reeling....an apparent assassination attempt on Trump. Had it been successful, I dread to think what the consequences might have been. As he's survived it.......I dread to think what the consequences will be. Scary stuff.
PS See extras for more pics and for the 4th day of HF layering on 'the' tree.
