Dolly's Day

LITTLE VISITOR

I was up early as I was expecting a parcel which needed to be signed for - it actually arrived at 3pm so I could have had a bit of a lie in.  I made good use of my time today by moving things out of my bedroom and getting it ready for my visitors.  Also sorting out a spare bedroom so I can sleep there.  Doing the hoovering and tidying... and a load of washing.

Becky, Mike and Astrid arrived around 4.30pm.  ( They spent last night at Mikes parents house in Leicestershire.)  We sat round drinking coffee and had a catch up while Astrid played with some toys.  I have big ottoman that is full of toys and books which I have just picked up cheaply from charity shops or Vinted.  There are plenty to keep her occupied. Mike cooked the meal - spaghetti bolognese and we had a cheesecake from Tesco for afters.  I had to put the heating on as its been a cold day with constant rain - really nasty weather.

We will all be up early tomorrow as Becky and Mike are running in a half marathon in Newcastle. It starts and finishes at the Newcastle Falcons Rugby Ground. Start time is 9am. I was originally going to go and spectate whilst looking after Astrid but the weather forecast says rain so we will just stay at home and amuse ourselves  - and wait for Becky and Mike to get back.... hopefully they will not resemble two drowned rats.

Might not have much time for comments over the weekend - hopefully I will catch up on Monday.
