The phenomenon that is Chris James

Ian K Brown put on a gig in Wark Town Hall tonight. When I can, I always go and practice my gig photography. (It's a challenging lighting environment!)

Here is a quick edit of Chris James, blues guitarist (and much more). He likes to tell jokes and I caught this photo when he was laughing at his own joke about a moth going to a podiatrist.

The evening started with a delightful duo called Wild Sparrow. They were a bit nervous, but soon settled in to their set. The audience is very friendly and supportive.

Ian sang and played guitar. He was joined by Louise. One of my friends said she thought her voice was like Joni Mitchell, so that is high praise indeed.

I did very little else today. I did some stitching of that jumper and did more knitting. I sorted out a lot of my old jewellery. Then I watched Wimbledon. What a great match in the end.

NOW, a partial apology about the balloon festival. I see that a small number of balloons were floated into the sky, just later in the evening. I do think they should have given some guide times for those of us who don't particularly like fun fairs. You win some, you lose some.

It has rained ALL DAY.
