Dayrain

I only went out the door to take this photo today, I didn't have to go far either, the rain-meter is outside my balcony. 
We were warned about torrential rain around three o'clock but in fact it started at eight in the morning and went on, rather a lot but gently falling straight down, not horizontal, until eight in the evening, a total of about 50 mm (I emptied after the photo was taken and there is a bit more now) 

What the council was afraid would happen, was that about 50mm would fall during an hour or two in which case the drains would have a problem swallowing the water and we would have floodings in town. I don't expect there has been any problems during the day, apart from three short power breaks. 
I got lots done indoors.
