Stuff and Nonsense

Plain Tiger (Danaus Chrysippus)

After yesterdays mass emergence of Plain Tiger butterflies, it seemed appropriate that I blipped one of them. They are a medium sized butterfly that are abundant in Asia, Australia and Africa. Apparently they only live for a couple of weeks so I’m getting them whilst they are nice and fresh.
It was raining for part of the morning so that always means a quiet day in the park, which turned out to be the case. It gave us time to do a few jobs and I managed a good bit of weeding before the rain came.
The afternoon was spent watching the Women’s tennis final at Wimbledon and then hubby found the World Cup final from 1966 in colour, so I was subjected to that for 2 hours. I was very disappointed not to hear the famous line …some people are on the pitch, they think it’s all over…it is now!”
