A Butterfly!

These guys have been so scarce this year I was very surprised to spot one this morning, so it has to be my blip for today.

I do have a side view of it as well (see extra) and both shots have been identified by Google Lens as a ‘Skipper’ - so I will be happy to record it as that. I believe that there are several sorts of skipper but I don’t know which this is! Of course if any Blippers know..then let me know.

It was sitting on top of a ragwort plant and didn’t move - probably because it was cold -  so I was able to get a few shots.

It was raining when I was taking the shots so I didn’t hang around to see it open its wings.
