It is a quiet day here with the expectation of rain, but so far it has remained cloudy and cool. I put a few towels on the line and the rest of the washing in the dryer.

Today it is the annual Rishton Festival. It is an exciting event that the organisers spend all year planning.

I hope to visit it after lunch. I could find a few plants to buy and bring home for the garden.

The cats are not showing much interest in the catmint. Paul thinks Catnip would have been more exciting for them.

Paul sent off for some strong steel pegs to secure the bird table and it looks strong and stable now.

Holly has been in the garden but no starlings have been endangered.

Paul jet washed the stone patio.
