Locked & Loaded….
Twelve months of selection and training weekends for participants, and the first kit refresh in decades, culminated in the Edinburgh North East patrol kit for the Blair Atholl International Jamborette being dropped-off at Bonaly Scout Centre today. It’s ready for collection and transport to the camp on Sunday. The participants will travel on Monday. I’m really proud of this group, they were a really mixed bunch of skills and attitudes, but they’ve become a very efficient team. They’ll do well at camp.
After, I headed over to the wood to put up the bell tent. We’ve guests visiting this weekend and we’d like them to be comfortable, even if the weather is doing its best to be inhospitable.
Later, Nancy and I sat down to eat an out of date pizza, some out of date salad and sup on a lovely bottle of Primitivo from the local grog shop. Busy week, but lots of progress. The out of date food was absolutely fine!
