Pink, red, green

It was bright and sunny for much of the day - sunny enough for me to take the sunshade outside and enjoy a quiet breakfast on the patio once J was up and settled with M. Sunshine always boosts my energy and motivation, and it was a positive day - I ticked off a lot of little jobs, always a good feeling, followed by some useful planting and potting. Basil and fine dwarf beans are now in troughs on the balcony, and a few more tomato plants in their full size pots at last. Then, quite late in the day, I wandered round the garden with the macro lens. Herb Robert is an invasive weed and I pull lots of it out, but I do like the simple little pink flowers, the pretty shape of the leaves, and the way the leaves, in dry conditions, turn to red and purple.

Thank you Miranda for continuing to host the Wildflower Weeks.
