Football’s coming to the High Street

In town to visit friends today. On the way home I remarked on the absence of flags and buzz ahead of Sunday’s Euro Final. (What had happened to all those car flags that used to be everywhere?) I spoke too soon as we came across this opportunist stall. It was fair to say it was not exactly doing a roaring trade! This time there is a relatively low expectation when compared to previous English progress in men’s football tournaments. Maybe this time round things will be different?
