Brancaster Staithe

This morning it was dry but very cool at 15C and with a stiff breeze. We were up early as we washed the bedding and then packed up the rooms ready for the builders arriving next week. We also had to clear the large cupboard on the landing that will become the shower.

Once that was done we took Xena for a walk, it was so windy and you needed a warm jacket. We walked back via the harbour at Brancaster Staithe where I took this photo. If you look carefully you can see the purple sea lavender on the salt marsh in the background. Then it was back to the house for coffees before packing the car and departing.

We arrived home at about 2.30pm, in good time for Gavin's afternoon meetings. It was much warmer at home, it got to 20C and there was no wind. I unpacked, did some loads of laundry and then went to get some groceries and get the new lenses fitted in my glasses. We drive to Switzerland on Sunday so I bought some food to take with us.

I need to start packing for Switzerland as tomorrow I have a busy day. Inca is arriving tonight and I am making supper for us, so I may not have time to look at journals now.
