Life is a Challenge!

NO PRIZES FOR GUESSING...

...where we were today, because you will probably recognise "The Core" from my Blip a couple of weeks ago.

I told Mr. HCB that I would like to have a quiet day today prior to my second cataract operation tomorrow morning and especially as I had been having a lot of trouble with both eyes being sore last night - hence no comments, for which I apologise.

He suggested we went to Jack’s and it so happened that our lovely friend, Louise had messaged last night and thought we could meet for a coffee - and Jack’s was the place we chose. We had a lovely chat in between Louise trying to sort out things relating to her daughter and bless her, she even paid for our coffee!

I then went over to the counter while Louise was paying, and chatted to the handsome fella with the beard, Kris, - who actually owns The Core and he told me that he had seen my Blip and had shared it on Facebook.  I then suggested I took some more photographs and he was happy for me to do that as he said he would like a “Team” shot.  With some difficulty, we managed to get the team together - it was rather busy at the time - except for one who was camera-shy because he said he didn’t have the right top on - and they say women are vain - but he said “Next time” - to which I responded that there might not be a next time but I still couldn’t persuade him!

So from left to right we have Lucy, Mya, Kris, Aimee, Simon, Jane - and Flo - trying to hide behind Jane!  I was interested to read Kris’s story and you can read it HERE, and if you scroll down the page, you can even hear and see Kris in a video!

Kris then asked if I could send him the photographs, but we then decided that airdropping them would be better, so I did that.  I asked if I would get a free smoothie for promoting "The Core" and he agreed I could, if I wanted one - so after my operation and when I am back in circulation again, we will go up there and sample a smoothie.

Do you remember how I said when I had been to the hospital earlier in the week that “technology marches on”?  In my extra shot, you will see that you can even order your own smoothie on a screen next to the counter/bar - I might even do that too!

All in all a great morning and when we left, we visited our favourite charity shop, DEBRA, where I found a lovely top - in a smaller size too, as people are beginning to say that my clothes are looking rather big on me!

Hope you all have a great weekend.  M xx
