Sally Mair - Loving life

The Muddle!

Another luncheon today! It's been a good week for them. Smeaton on Monday, The Guildford Arms yesterday and today a little restaurant in Portobello called La Grotta. Lovely freshly cooked Italian food and at a very reasonable price too.
I was meeting an old school friend and as usual we talked both hind legs off the donkey! Kathryn is the same age as her elder son and they were best pals for their first few years. It's strange to think that having known each other since we were 11, our grandchildren are approaching the same age.
My blip is of wheels which were part of the old tram mechanism which was discovered when they were installing the new tram lines on Leith Walk. The extra is of the information board telling about them.
I'm not sure if the gull is Blipper Meles' local bird Stewart's pal, off on his travels or some other.
This afternoon I went back out to the Gyle for a repeat sight test. They have made a few minor adjustments and are remaking both sets of lenses and hope to have them back within the week. Hopefully the combination of the adjustments and resetting the frames will solve the problem.
I went out to Sick Kids again this evening to drive Kathryn home. She finished just after 7pm again having been in since before 9 every day this week. Same again tomorrow, she's only meant to work four days but that's been another five day week.
We played online bridge this evening once I finally got home - which went well.
