Calla Lily

Our garden visitors yesterday were entranced by the newly emergent flowers of the calla lily and surprised that they stay outdoors all winter and seem to thrive on neglect. I love the drama of the flowers unfolding as well as the foliage with its metallic markings and shapely leaves.
