Late morning I started the painting of the black larch boards we have on the front of the house and after about five hours hanging off ladders and steps I'd had enough; just a third to finish. I seemed to stiffen up and a bath eased that and got most of the paint off me!

When Mrs BB got home from work, it was quite warm and we enjoyed sitting on the rear garden patio watching the garden birds. Having breakfast I managed one of the woodpecker but any movement, even inside the house, and it's gone! The other birds are more than happy to carry on feasting even when we're sat a dozen feet away!

I was hoping for a sunset but very poor tonight - just dark clouds - and probably more rain!

I watched the thrilling England v Netherlands match last night and we scored in the last minute to win 1-2, putting us in the final on Sunday night against Spain. Ironically, last week I was cheering on Spain in Spain against Portugal!!  Let's hope it's coming home!
