Kaybees Bits

A Pop-up Bird

They hide in the Berberis and pop up without warning.
I caught this with the 300mm lens with x2 convertor  .... the combination really needs a tripod .... or better light.

I was cutting back some more hedge this morning...early before the bin men came to empty the bins, even though it was drizzling.
SWMBO came out to let me know she was up and we got caught by one of the neighbours. A very chatty chap.... who had his coat on.
About half an hour later we got to go in for breakfast ...... but the world had been set to rights.

SWMBO had things to do this morning so while she went to do them I went to do some turning.
I had to go out at one point and ask the painter who was working next door to turn his van off ..... the exhaust fumes were filling the garage and choking me. He was most apologetic. He was expecting a phone call and needed to charge his phone and rather than plugging it in in the house without asking (the occupiers were out) he went to the van (which he did switch off). A remarkably considerate lad I have to say.

Bags and family are back in the country now after their holiday but wont be back until late this evening.
When they got off the plane Bags broke the news to the kids that their oldest cat (in the extras) had to be put down last week. She was 17 and not well. I didn't mention it here in case the monsters picked up on it as it would have ruined their holiday.
Bags knew because she had seen us going out with the cat box via the video bell at the front door.
She will be missed.
