Seed heads are forming

It was promised to be a sunny day in our area but it was a fairly cold cloudy start.  I had to take the car in for its MOT and it was an early appointment.  As the car also has a hoover and clean it took awhile and I went for a walk along the canal to Exeter Quay.  I was surprised at the height and growth of wild flowers along the embankment and stopped to take a few photos.  I didn't spent too much time though as I was also meeting a friend for a coffee and catch up which was nice.  She then gave me a lift back to the garage.

I'm glad to say the car passed its MOT although they did highlight some areas of work that will be necessary further down the line.  In the afternoon I spent some time on the allotment pulling out the chard that had grown to an enormous size with flowers forming.  I was also occupied with weeding the horrendous oxalis is certainly making its presence known.

I watched parts of the football this evening and was surprised at how well they were playing, they even ended up winning the game and are through to the final.
