one day in France

On the Île d’Oleron

The girls wanted to go to the Île d’Oleron as they were keen to see Fort Boyard! So we did. They also got a bit obsessed with oyster sheds, the old wooden colourful kind, so we saw these in several different places  involving lots of walking, a bit of getting lost and a rather nice Croque Monsieur.
It was 26 degrees, cloudy and very humid today, but it was nice to come home for a Rosé Piscine or two, and one of Mr F’s home made curries!
We shall be sad to see them all leave tomorrow, but it’s quite exhausting speaking a mixture of English, French and Franglais and I’m sure they think the same, as sometimes they forget that they’re French and when they are speaking to each other, they’ll say one random sentence in English! Then they all laugh and say they don’t know why they did that!
