Chamois-" an alpine pearl"

This morning, we explored this tiny, steep ,remote alpine village, taking a chairlift up from the village of Chamois, accessible only by cablecar, to the secret lake and alpine meadows.  It is traffic free and voted a few years ago to stay remote.
Today the weather is idyllic with sunshine and no wind, complete contrast to yesterday’s rain. So, we walked around the lake and had coffee and cake in the ski restaurant where we recognized the staff from yesterday’s wedding. They had been brought in to help, and I got a chance to practice my Italian which I am learning on Duolingo.
See extras of yesterday’s wedding where the bride, Maddy, our niece, is having rose petals thrown over her as she leaves the church in rain. The bridesmaids (see extra) looked ethereal against the mist covered mountains.
Many guests departed today because they are working tomorrow or have got long distances to travel. Some had come from Singapore, America, Nigeria, Paris, Genoa , Zurich and of course England and ourselves from Scotland.

NB. This is back-blipped because for the past week we have had  an involuntary digital detox. Internet access erratic in the mountains.
