Moose at Grand Teton National Park

He's a beauty.

We had a wonderful, wandering day today, through the Grand Teton mountains and valleys and miles of rolling wheat and potato fields.

This huge moose was obligingly snacking on the greenery in a river at the southern entrance to the park. You always know there is some wildlife worth stopping to see because of all the cars just pulled over anyhow on the sides of the roads. It's really great to be able to see such wildlife at such close range, thanks to the amazing National Parks.

We ended our evening at an old fashioned drive-in movie theatre just outside Victor in Idaho. That was great fun, having never been to one. The little building where you got your tickets and bought food, was lined, walls and ceilings, with old 33 records and covers. Very cool.

A great dat!
