The Earl of Eldon

This magnificent traction engine was holding up traffic on a narrow country road. When I eventually caught up to it and overtook it, I knew I had to stop to take the photograph. I “sped” past and parked as soon as I could and waited for it. When the driver saw me with my camera, she tooted the steam whistle allowing me to capture the cloud of steam.

As soon as I saw the name “The Earl of Eldon” I knew I had photographed it before on this exact road
