Birds in the rain

Over the last few days we have had a staggering variety of birds in the garden.

We sit in the conservatory and watch through a large window.
The problem I have is that while using a moderately expensive lens, the image quality is degraded by the glass, clean or dirty, rain spattered or not.

I would never admit that it is my lack of skill!

Today’s birds included
An adult and two fledgling dunnocks
A female blackbird with two fledglings
Various goldfinches, adult and fledglings
Great tits and coal tits galore
Ubiquitous pigeons
A soggy chaffinch
A shy Blue Jay
A very bedraggled, fledgling robin
The usual aggressive magpies

And finally, the choice of the day, a female Great Spotted Woodpecker, unusually feeding on the sunflower hearts and niger seeds rather than the peanuts.
