Finally … a Wallcreeper
So excited to see two of these iconic birds of the cliff faces, zooming (see extra) around above the Durnand Gorge (also extra). I’ve been trying for years to get a decent photo of these and it must be 6 years ago since I saw one! I must go back when the light is better, and soon, while they are still feeding their young which they were clearly doing today (snails for breakfast in extra). Our visitors were stunned by the beauty of this gorge and the huge volume of water pounding down, as were we. I don’t know why I hadn’t been there before!
