Rain, Rain

... Go away. Come again another day.

Today is our choir's "End of Season" social and the last chance to say farewell our MD following last Saturday's concert. A picnic in the glorious gardens of one of our longer serving members is planned - but so far today the weather is having other thoughts!

It was still raining cats and dogs over my house at 6pm, but an email from our chair confirmed it had stopped raining where they were and the picnic was on, albeit half hour or so later than planned.  In the event the rain held off long enough for us to be well fed and watered, and bid a final farewell to Nick (who has promised to keep in touch) with some silly gifts: T-Shirt with appropriate motto and "Latin for Dummies" book, plus flowers for his long suffering wife.

Earlier in the day I managed to get out to a local garden garden centre where I found some lovely fuchsias on sale and a pack soon headed into the car boot. They need planting out as soon as but in the meantime provide a suitable subject for today's Tiny Tuesday challenge of "wide open".
