I Witness

By KangaZu

Tiny Tuesday ...

... wide aperture/shallow depth of field.

Today was hotter than Hades so I didn't spend a lot of time outside.  But when I saw a monarch butterfly flitting around out back on the milkweed I went out with the camera.  I didn't get any pictures of her but I was lucky enough to also spot some blue dasher dragonflies.  Please have a look full screen.

As I watched the monarch in the back I made note of where she was landing ... possibly laying eggs.  I went out a little later before heading into the pool to see if I could find some of them.  I found two eggs which have been added to the five eggs that we had already collected ... three last night and two others this morning.  We had seen another monarch last night that was also laying eggs in the front yard.  We now have seven eggs in our monarch nursery ... it's a great start!

Thanks to isbi for hosting Tiny Tuesday this month.

To see just how hot is was today ... check out my "trying to keep cool" squirrel.
