Ådalen III coming into harbour

The boat "Ådalen III" takes people on a local cruise, out from Härnösand and up the river to the High Coast Bridge and a little beyond. It's very beautiful on a good day and sometimes the boat offers a salmon-based buffet and a bar to add to the experience.
We were in town with Lis B, who arrived here today. Lis is a very old friend from when we first came to Härnösand, though she has now been living in England for many years.
We went into town together to do a little charity shop shopping and while Lis and Jan were on that I took a walk down to the harbour and the North Sound, where I caught this picture used in this blip. I liked the incoming boat, but mostly it was that classic summer sky, filled with cumulus clouds that I loved.
It was mostly a really good summer day. About 12:00 o'clock we had a thundery shower at home, and we had showers for the next couple of hours but then the solar pump driving the clouds and rain started to stall. Less solar heat equals lower and smaller clouds.
In the hour before coming to town we did a load of washing for Lis. We checked both the forecast and the actual sky as we hung the washing out to dry. Both indicated a low probability of more rain, and we decided to chance it. Arriving home around 6 in the evening the washing was mostly dry so it seems our hopes were vindicated.
